Hello, I haven't forgot about this M0E... I've just been busy lately. I might have time tonight to give this a shot. Would you like me to repeat with 1.41txz like last time or should I use the updated 1.42txz isos (already downloaded)? You've probably already done something about the os-prober blank label issue, but if not then perhaps if os-prober returns an empty string then something as simple as 'unknown' could end up in the label field. The idea is that a label is better than no label since lilo will fail with no label. Even better might be if os-prober returns an empty string then a label indicating filesystem and/or partition (e.g. ntfs-sda1, vfat-hda1, etc.). Last, I actually have a bootable OSX partition (sdc1) - you can see it in the partition sequence jpeg I attached to a previous email. This was not detected by vinstaller at the bootloader section, and therefore was not a boot menu option. How do grub and lilo handle booting osx systems, if at all? I idea being that if a true mac user wanted to installed VL in a dual-boot scenario would lilo/grub leave them without a boot menu option to boot into OSX?
