To add to the latest round of testing the latest iso, I installed it to a test box that has a recent Nvidia card. Two issues: 1) I can't log in as a regular user nor as root. 2) I wanted to install the proprietary Nvidia driver on the box, since I have a fairly modern Nvidia card. However, I got an error message that "make" was not found in the path. I chose a custom install, installing most of the stuff from both CDs, except for ATI-related stuff.
