:( Spoke a little soon. While the new mc is handling txz packages fine, 
it doesn't recognise tlz as a tar archive. Does this on the alpha and 
also when installed to 6.0 Standard as well.

I'm not sure what is missing that it doesn't see tlz archive correctly - 
the svn version I've been using does...
