Importing Users:
Hi M0E. OK, so you're already aware of the
importing users issues. If there's anything I can do to further assist in
this, just let me know. I did want to clear up a note though. If one uses
the installer or vector control center (or vasm) the importing wasn't an
issue. It was only an issue when one used some other application, such as
the KDE4 tools to create a user account. It was only this round that I ran
into issues of importing users all together. the 36 iso didn't have an issue
of importing installer created accounts. Hope that narrows down to something
useful.
Ksplash:
Hi Newt. Yes the bobbling logo is intentional. It was just
something quickly put together for a trial run. I previously had it fading
in as the other icons do, but for some reason the theme would not work due
to that particular animation file. Possibly a setting I have in GIMP that's
not quite right for that file when saving. I suspect that, because I made
the bobbling one via Krita and it works. Don't worry though, that will not
be the choice of animation for the splash, I am currently working on a
couple others that should be more suitable. Suggestions / ideas are welcome.
ISO regular TLZ and TXG:
I saw really no difference in
performance of these two ISOs. The only thing I actually saw that was
different, was how K3B speedily calculated the MD5SUM. Outside of that,
everything was pretty much the same. I didn't do actual timings, but
typically if nothing is noticeable naturally, then there's no need for
calculations. As for installation, it was pretty much the same results,
everything went in order and there was no difference as to whether something
worked in one and not the other, etc.
