Hello Masta, Thanks again for you help. Once I explicitly selected a user icon they worked, at least the user icon worked - no root icon. I tried to duplicate the issue relating to changing themes and cannot. Perhaps it was just a fluke, or something in KDE 4.3.0, or a combination of various things. Regardless, it's working as expected now! Also, I had reported that sound was not working in my previous 1.24 install attempt. For whatever reason, it's working this time just like it always had. I don't put a ton of faith in the virtual testing scenario due to the obvious reasons - it's not real hardware. So when something like this happens (ie. it doesn't work but next time it does) I just assume it's a virtual-bug :D Thanks again!
