My concern is not really this specific issue, rather the fact that 30 minutes worth of testing after upgrading kernel revealed two significant changes in the behavior of the system. I had spent a lot of time testing the prior version, on several different machines. I had clicked through and verified operation of every item on the menu, and felt that it was good to go. The kernel change sets the process back several steps, probably weeks worth of time. I can see using Light Live as a test bed for the new kernel, but if so it needs to be presented as such, in alpha form. Roy |
