I made a version with the 2.6.27.29 kernel. 
Found some problems already, which did not exist using old kernel:
- On my laptop, with a Linksys wireless card (bcm43), wicd-client does not 
  see any wireless networks. VLwifi connects  without problems.
- On an Intel 82801 integrated machine, the NIC is not working.

Maybe I did something wrong in the kernel upgrade. I'll keep hacking away,
but would appreciate some input. The ISO is in my contrib.
