Great!... Now we have some real debugging to do.
and BTW newtor, scsi or IDE drivers *should* not make a difference. My
VM has IDE, because VBox can't emulate scsi. I have however tried the
installer on both of my machines at home, which use all scsi drives,
and even scsi cdroms, and it works just like it does here.

I normally just run the installer by invoking "./vinstall-ng.gambas > gui.log"
