Hello, Below are my install notes. Overall, I would say this is the best alpha tested so far - nearly flawless. User accounts were created successfully; I was able to login to KDE; many services that failed before are fixed. I still am able to reproduce several fatal errors, however it seems some have been removed (great job M0E!!). The Installer window jumping when clicking description fields still happens. Overall, to me, this seems like a very nearly ready public alpha. Cheers!! >>> Preamble: vmware virtual install; reused virtual machine; new partitions; >>> custom/manual package selection; all services selected: updated installer >>> before beginning using following steps (for static network): >>> kill 3864 (dhcpcd pid) >>> ifconfig eth0 down >>> create /etc/resolv.conf >>> add 'nameserver 192.168.100.1' and save >>> ifconfig eth0 192.168.100.252 netmask 255.255.255.0 up >>> route add default gw 192.168.100.1 >>> cd speedy >>> svn up >>> received 'updated to revision 646' >>> gbr2 /root/speedy/vinstall-ng.gambas >>> >>> Clicking anywhere in the 'Description' fields still causes the installer to shift upwards and to the left. >>> >>> Fatal Error: I can still receive fatal errors by clicking 'next' (2 times) >>> through package selection and then clicking 'back' (2 times) at Installation >>> Summary getting back to first package selection screen, and then clicking >>> 'next' (2 times) to get back to Installation Summary.
