I for one think we should not waste time fixing something destined to
be trashed. With that in mind, I think we ought to concentrate on
developing a new release based on new tools, since slack has upgraded
to 64b. It might take a bit longer, but it is the best way to go IMO.

I'd hate to think of the instability that will be reflected if we put
out a 1/2 SOHO with text-only installer right after a STD with GUI
installer, which is why I have to agree with Uel. It is imperative
that we have one goal in mind, and that it is very defined. Whatever
that goal may be.
