Also tested in xfce, just in case. I took a quick look in the forum and noticed GrannyGeek is also experiencing this bug. I can build it either way. If a non-calendar build is decided on, I can provide an unofficial and unsupported calendar build. I normally make 1.0.x calendar builds, anyway. For what it's worth, I doubt this will be fixed upstream.
