I couldn't get into gmail till now, so I answered this in the Forum
first. I'll quote myself here just in case:

"Larry: If you want the developers to edit the docs concurrently, some
form of collaborative environment would be very helpful. Maybe we can
set up the wiki again, but close it for editing according to a
user/password login system? Or if you think it's workable, I could put
it up on the SourceForge cvs or subversion repository."
