Also it's great to have another user/developer.
Btw, did you use the "original" telnetlib approach or plain socket 
communication?
I'm curious because i have some trouble with the telnet stuff from time 
to time.
This is especially true when i fetch larger amounts of data like the 
whole EPG, for example.
