On networking libraries...Nicolas has mentioned Rak and OpenTNL. While it looks like Rak is free for non-commercial use, and available with full source under Creative Commons license, I think we'd find it easier to package VDrift and depend on a completely non-commercial open source library like OpenTNL (if we decide that's what we need). I think it's more likely that OpenTNL will already have packages available on Linux, FreeBSD, etc. that users can install through package managers, rather than us having to package and distribute the library, or even worse, making the user get the library themselves.
