Can you modify mvp_WaitKey (or add a new function) to
allow a timeout to be specified. If no keypress arrives
within the timeout, a fake keypress ALARM is returned.

I can use this for updating the screen at the same time
as waiting for a keypress. eg, printing the time &
date, or handling the screensaver.
