#170 insufficient memory using VDMS

May be only a shot in the dark but the old game I am
trying to revive ran perfectly once with VDM and never
again.
It starts off, the music plays and then I get a message
about "insufficent memory, press any key to return to DOS".
While this message displays the game music is running.
This is on an XP PC.

Any tip appreciated.
