I'm attempting to save 1080p video using the x264 codec. From the 32-bit build of VD2, it fails immediately with error -100. Lower resolutions of video - eg standard-def - work without issues.

1080p videos can be saved from the 32-bit build using other codecs - it's just x264 which fails.

The problem does not affect the 64-bit build.

Are you using any filters? Maybe it's an out of mem issue, if you are running on a 64bits OS, try patching VirtualDub.exe using auxsetup.exe )in extra folder): Tick Enable LAA, it will extend usable memory for vdub32bits from 2gb to near 4gb.

    No, no filters loaded.

    Are you using internal: "x264 8bit - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec" or x264vfw ?

Not sure but maybe your video frame size must be wrong, need to be a multiple of 2!
