I just got a capture device, vendor ID 534D and PID 0021...(sold as BR116) and the braindead software it came with has issues with lagging voice (and no settings to adjust)... so tried to use VirtualDub2, but when I go to try to capture, I get sound, but a messed up screen (rolling lines)...When I try to change the Video Pin, it shows "Video Standard None" and does not allow an edit, and it shows the output as 480x320 and not 720x480 as it should be...

Any ideas? thanks!

Played with it some more...eventually could get it to 720 x 480 mode by changing the Color Space/Compression to MPG and the frame rate to 29.97... still not NTSC, but it apparently works... is this normal?

You may try: Capture, Capture avi (to get in cap mode); in cap mode:
Capture, Capture Settings, Frame Rate: 29.97
Video, Set Custom Format and try 720x480 YV12
    Video, Preview
(YV12 is what works for my card, yours may be different)
(Usually I must enter and exit capture mode and then enter again to have a visible Preview).
Usually I compress in realtime using Lagarith Lossless. After finish capture I recompress to final slower h264 or h265, you may fix A/V synchro later also (Audio, Interleaving, Delay).
