Tortoise is a great version control system. But VCMRoar (Version Control Manager Roar) aims to be a tortoise like system that supports as many operating system as possible. Written in Qt, it currently support a multitude of desktop environments. VCMRoar is designed to use plug-ins for different Version Control system. Currently SVN and GIT are in development.
