Hello, welcome to the VB.net applications project! if you are uncertain of what this is for, it is for any applications written in vb.net.

If you want to download the code (known as the project), you will find it not in the code section, but in the downloads section. You can also download the finished application (no code). These applications are not stand-alone (stand-alone: an executable file that does not need to be installed), and they generally only take seconds (literally) to install!
