#229 Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: Help; I Beg You.

It's been something like four years, and I still can't get Final Fantasy Tactics Advance to do a battery save. Everyone says you can just apply a patch--specifically to the European version--and I've gotten that patch, and it just doesn't work. I've tried every single Mac patching application in existence, every patch I can get my hands on, at least twenty different FFTA roms: nothing, absolutely nothing, works. I REALLY want to beat this damn game, but I'm not about to go out and buy an old Gameboy Advance and a copy of the game just to beat it. Is there anything that can be done?

Note that this patch (at least the one that I used) only works on new save states. That is, it still won't let you battery save with your old save state, but if you start a new game, it will.
