The GUI is perfect, I have to admit. I think it would be
better if you follow strictly the GNOME GUI standard.
Besides, I've been working with Jakub on the new
GNOME-ish icon for VBA and its mimetype. You can
check this up at:

We haven't finished yet, as soon as Jakub fix up all minor
problems in some icons, I will post up a patch. Hope you
like it and replace it with the current icon.

Jakub and I won't commit mimetype icons to gnome-icon-theme
until the icon is agreed upon by GNOME hackers.

The GTK+ GUI is nice for the most part, but it also makes me
frustrated because it doesn't support my Sidewinder joypad.
When I start vba from the terminal I can at least modify
the configuration file with the outputs from the SDL
    Configurator for my joystick.

The GUI needs better joystick support (if it even has it).
People shouldn't have to choose between the GUI and a joystick.

How long is it since I reported this bug? 3 years? 4 years? I couldn't remember anymore. At that time GNOME 2 has old style ver2 GNOME icons and during that year, GNOME, KDE and other desktop is now starting to migrate to new style called Tango (www.tango-project.org).

Well, I do keep my promise, here, I send you the latest updated Tango style icon for VBA, please note, kxu can you read this doc http://wayofthemonkey.com/index.php?date=2006-11-15&month=11&year=2006 and patch VBA GUI to make it use new freedesktop's icon-naming utils (and store icons in /usr/share/icons/hicolor instead of pixmap - pixmap will be deprecated soon).

Btw, you can check the icon look on Tango-Friday page (http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Fridays

I am looking forward to seeing this patch to be commited for release 1.80. Cheers,
