I am an avid fan/developer in MSVB, particularly VB4,5,6. When programming in Windows, I very much prefer VB. I still do not know well C/C++, since i have only a few experience on this language.
I have recently moved into GNU/Linux (Mandrake 9.2) and I am fascinated with its environment and everything, and all I wished for is having a Development Environment for VB in Linux (how i really wish...)
I need to have VB in Linux, or the like. I would like to have this simple but powerful environment on a free OS, for a lot of reasons: we are setting up a VB subject in one high school here in the Philippines, but still under the foundation of MSWindows, and we want the students to get experience with Linux (particularly development). Next, I need the VB Env. for a planned thesis in our subject in college... I would be very glad if this project pushes through... What do you say?
