I uninstalled the VS.NET Add In to try and isolate
Ctrl-V/Shift-Ins not working. Upon restarting VS.NET I
get errors "Project XXX could not be opened because the
Visual Basic .NET compiler could not be created.
Please reinstall Visual Studio".
I took no other actions between uninstalling VS.NET
Addin and restarting Visual Studio.
I confirmed the VS.NET Add In as the problem by
reinstalling it and reststarting VS.NET. Everything
worked fine after the reinstall. I deinstalled it a
second time and am back to the same problem: "Project
XXX could not be opened because the Visual Basic .NET
compiler could not be created. Please reinstall Visual
Studio."
These deinstallations were accomplished through the
Add/Remove applet on the Control Panel. I also tried a
third deinstall by using the
vs.net-addin-vs2003-0.4-2.msi to try and remove the
add-in. Same problem.
I see the same problem was reported in your forum some
months ago, but you weren't able to help the person.
Please let me know what other information you need.
