As implemented, I think the Auto function is confusing. It confused me anyway. :-)
I'd like to see the printer functions implemented along the lines described in above ref. Print orientation ought to be visible without having to enter a sub-menu.
There may be a more effective way to implement the print functions, but I think 1793644 is a decent starting point.

This is not a bug. As implemented, orientation is controlled by the
current setting of the portrait/landscape controls in the configuration
dialog.
