Hello, I am trying to crosscompile valgrind for a 2.4 Linux kernel on a Windows PC under cygwin. The target is an embedded pentium processor running aMonteVista linux 2.4 kernel. I have bastardized the --host option enough to make configure think it is compiling on a linux system, but I bomb out when it gets to the kernel version. Is hacking the configure.in file to try and make this work even worth trying? Does valgrind require kernel header files and can I override the path to them? There is a chance I could get the compilers installed on a 2.6 kernel. Is possible to compile valgrind for a 2.4 kernel on a 2.6 machine? It looks like installation may be a bit of an issue too, but I will worry about that when I get there.
