Dear Valgrind'ers, I have been maintaining the Valgrind Solaris (and partly also illumos) port for nearly three years, ensuring it builds and runs on the latest Solaris 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 (and 11.4 until April 2018). I have been co-developing the port since 2013. I have had a pleasure to meet and work with many knowledgeable folks and also met many of you at various conferences and other occasions. However all things come to an end at some point. And thus with sadness, I have to announce I am stepping down from the Valgrind Solaris port maintainer post. I no longer have access to Solaris development builds and cannot accommodate running Solaris nightly tests. That said, if there is an interest from the community, I can help set up Solaris nightly regression testbed (provided there is hardware available). I can also offer a limited assistance for Solaris related problems. I am still a Valgrind user and contributor, though. Will focus on Linux now. I. |

Do you know of anyone on the Illumos side who would be interested/able to help? For my part I do have a PC that runs S11.4, but I don’t use it much these days. I also have an Illumos virtual box, but that doesn’t see much action. A+ Paul |
