Thanks for your quick answer Sorry, I am new to this mailing list and have not followed the debate = about memcheck and addrcheck. Actually I use both addrcheck and memcheck to detect memory errors: - I use addrcheck in first pass sessions to "test in the large" without = paying the performance penalty of memcheck (as my app is a GUI app, I = want to keep a reasonable level of responsiveness). - Then I run memcheck on specific areas to get more detailed error = tracking So my reflex is to start addrcheck first. As you said, I have been confused with the error message. Maybe the error message could recommend to use memcheck instead of = addrcheck?
