All, I'm getting an illegal instruction error from valgrind what running the following avx function: _mm256_cmp_pd. I am using version 3.10.0. >From my own reading online, it looks like there isn't anyway around this problem, other than upgrading my version. My question is this: Does anybody know what version I should be using? Thank you! Dalon |

VCMPPD is AVX, which should be supported in 3.10. Looks like a bug. Perhaps you can provide a reproducer (yes, this is trivial but it’s good if you provide it to ensure it captures your usage exactly). Before doing any such bug reproducer, it would be better to first upgrade to the last release 3.13. Quite a lot of bugs were solved since 3.10.0 (which dates from 2014). Philippe For sure, quite a lot of bugs and missing instructions On Tue, 2017-10-31 at 17:43 +0000, Jeff Hammond wrote: > VCMPPD is AVX, which should be supported in 3.10. Thanks for the info. I was able to upgrade to 3.12, which resolved the issue.
