Hello I am interested in porting valgrind to NetBSD. I would be happy to hear from the owners any gotchas or pointers. This message is more of a "heads up" message. I will be doing some googling and messing around with the cvs tree over the weekend. Btw, I am new to the *nices in general and hence to porting among them. The more liberal you are with your comments the more it will help me get going quickly. Thanks in advance, Jambunathan K. |

I am interested in porting valgrind to NetBSD. My intention is earnest. I would be happy to hear from the owners any gotchas or pointers to the resources. This message is more of a "heads up". I will revert back with more questions after a bit of googling and messing around with the cvs tree. Regards, Jambunathan K. |

Well there was a FreeBSD port at one point which it might be worth
looking at.

Working from the CVS tree would be a mistake - use the SVN tree if
you're looking at doing a port.

Well valgrind is not exactly the easiest introduction to such things
as it tends to involve all sorts of fine details of the user/kernel
interoperation which normal programs don't have to think about at all.
