Above message is obviously not true. The nightly build script seems to handle the 24 hour difference only for the valgrind repository, but fails to do the right thing for the VEX repository. If you still want to move to mercurial or git after 3.7 we can ignore that, but otherwise we should try to fix the nightly script. Christian |

Maybe we could just get rid of the print? Or we could do the same as for execute - stop decoding if the next instruction is 0x0000? Dont know. Christian |

Log:
Fix a Massif bug: when realloc'ing a block, any values in the part of the
block beyond the original request weren't copied. They are now. This is
important because a program could use malloc_usable_size to gain legitimate
access to those extra bytes.

I found some time to look at the ex_clone testcase. The error comes from
decoding libcs abort function coming from base_from_cb_data
(which was not done before we had resteer)

Florian, looks like we should treat 0000 special.

Memcheck sometimes generates "false positive" error reports, which are "misses" in the terminology above. Specifically: Memcheck does not understand that uninitialized bits don't matter if the known-to-be-valid bits already determine inequality: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117362 Summary: false positive uninit for bitfields or partial word Memcheck does not understand that 0==(x & ~x) regardless of uninitialized bits. In general memcheck does not understand "re-convergent fan-out" of booleans. Memcheck does not understand the properties of the unsigned remainder operator '%' when the divisor is one less than a power of 2. Example: (((a*256*256*256) + (b*256*256) + (c*256) + d) % 255u) === (a + b + c + d) so some low bits of the remainder can be valid even when various high bits of the individual bytes of the dividend are uninitialized. -- |

Hello Everyone: Good Morning. I have question. I want to know that if valgrind give the report of " Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialised value(s) ",it really 100% hit, does it have no possibility of miss. Thanks you. |
