That's caused by the presence of an anonymous union, which your version of
gcc (2.95.4) doesn't understand.  It's been fixed in Valgrind CVS (and
will be fixed in 2.1.1);  you can check it out by following the
instructions at valgrind.kde.org/cvs.html, and then build it using the
instructions in the README in the distro.  Alternatively, try a later GCC
(I think 3.0+ will work).
