Greetings, all. I released 1.9.4 from the cvs HEAD last Friday, and tagged VALGRIND_1_9_4 at that point. 1.9.4 fixes some of the more pressing bugs in 1.9.3. Overall, 1.9.3/4 seem pretty stable, and I get the impression it is getting quite widely used. My impression is that 1.9.4 is at least as stable as 1.0.4, and so I've branched the tree at this point; the branch tag is VALGRIND_2_0_BRANCH, as expected, and I plan to roll out 2.0.X from that branch some time. That means the head is now open for committing again. Red Hat have very kindly started to supply plausible-looking patches which for (1) MMX/SSE support, and (2) support for NGPT or whatever the next generation posix threads stuff is called. I'll try and work (1) into the head soonish, and perhaps (2) a little later on, once I understand the consequences of it -- it involves quite large changes to the threading stuff. J |
