Hi All, I am a new bee to run valgrind, I am trying to run android applypatch ( https://android.googlesource.com/platform/bootable/recovery/+/android-5.1.0_r3/applypatch/applypatch.c ) Which internally uses libbz.so, (/external/bzip2) but surprisingly with valgrind it is failing at decompress of patch file. line number 817 ( https://android.googlesource.com/platform/external/bzip2/+/android-5.1.0_r3/bzlib.c ) but if I run applypatch normally, it does its work properly, and returns success, but when I run it with valgrind, it enters into the while (true) loop, first line printf statements are printing. but later after some time it waits there and fails saying bz error -4. I have been running with this problem from many days now, when i searched in net, found some valgrind hang issues reported in 3.10.0 version, which is what i am using currently. I found this patch which said it fixes some hang issue:( http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.debugging.valgrind.devel/28264) but dint fix my problem, when I tried it. Please suggest me, If i am doing any wrong On Thu, Apr 2, 2015 at 5:39 PM, Shrinivas Sahukar < shr...@gm...> wrote: > Hi All, > > I am a new bee to run valgrind, > I am trying to run android applypatch ( > https://android.googlesource.com/platform/bootable/recovery/+/android-5.1.0_r3/applypatch/applypatch.c > ) > Which internally uses libbz.so, (/external/bzip2) > > but surprisingly with valgrind it is failing at decompress of patch file. > line number 817 ( > https://android.googlesource.com/platform/external/bzip2/+/android-5.1.0_r3/bzlib.c > ) > > but if I run applypatch normally, it does its work properly, and returns > success, > > but when I run it with valgrind, it enters into the while (true) loop, > first line printf statements are printing. but later after some time it > waits there and fails saying bz error -4. > > I have been running with this problem from many days now, when i searched > in net, found some valgrind hang issues reported in 3.10.0 version, which > is what i am using currently. > > I found this patch which said it fixes some hang issue:( > http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.debugging.valgrind.devel/28264) > > but dint fix my problem, when I tried it. > > Please suggest me, If i am doing any wrong > > > -- > Regards, > Shrinivas Sahukar. > -- Regards, Shrinivas Sahukar. |
