[Valgrind-users] Valgrind with Hadoop/Mahout

Is it possible to run valgrind (memory leak tool) with this command

mahout wikipediaXMLSplitter -d enwiki-latest-pages-articles.xml -o wikipedia/chunks -c 64
 
?
It is a java based program.
Or Valgrind works with C++ codes only?
