Hello everyone, I am having some problems installing valgrind on my mac. I am trying to use the regular gcc compiler (gcc4.4.4) and am running into problems as it does not support two or the options specified in the makefile -arch -mdynamic-no-pic I have tried a variety of things: building it myself and changing the makefile so that it does not use thee options, porting the code through macports and attempting to force the configuration to use my normal gcc instead of apple gcc4.0, all to no avail. The big thing is that when I port Valgrind with no options, it seems to work alright with my gcc44 compiler as long as I don't compile in 64 bit. It fails even if I use the apple compiler with the 64 bit compiler option. So my question to the group is: Has anyone compiled Valgrind on a mac with just the standard gcc, and if so, how? Is it possible to do so? PS, I have an intel, not ppc. Thanks for the help, Matt |
