I guess the superblock manager could try hard to keep a large contiguous bunch of free superblocks to satisfy very large mmap requests. On 64-bit targets it's pretty much a non-problem, but we might have to be quite careful on 32-bit targets. I guess there's no real reason not to jack up the superblock size to 128M or even 256M; would that help? J |
