TamilVP is not (yet) well integrated into the X infrastructure. It needs to be launched separately. Also, it hard codes the mode switch key (to F11?), causing the program to fail if the Window Manager had already grabbed the specified key. These problems could be resolved by porting TamilVP to XIM and/or a GNOME/KDE input module. I believe that Dinesh has already started work to work towards that goal. In the meantime, Linux distros that support Tamil, (e.g. Mandrake), could configure TamilVP to launch automatically when a Tamil desktop is selected and make sure that there are no conflicts in the mode-switch key. BTW, the (approx) TamilVP keyboard layout is here: http://www.rit.edu/~dxn8594/tamilxkb/imgs/default-layout.jpg (from the README file) -Vasee --- Anbumani Subramanian <anb...@vt...> wrote: > Hello Venkat, > > Correct me if I'm wrong.
