I am getting a syslog failure due to
May 27 21:34:38 SLES8-AMD64 kernel: Error seeking
in /dev/kmem
May 27 21:34:38 SLES8-AMD64 kernel: Symbol #joydev,
value a00ae000
May 27 21:34:38 SLES8-AMD64 kernel: Error adding
kernel module table entry.

I am getting these on multiple opteron systems running
suse 8.1 with 512 MB of ram and 1GB of swap.

from what I have been able to find out by searching the
internet these messages do not really mean anything,
and can be ignored.

What is your recomendation due to these messages?
Should the messages file be updated to skip these error
messages?
