#3 voodoo3 3500 card

I have a voodoo3 3500 tv card with adaptor for video capture.....

I have connected my vhs camcorder and hit play, I then hit record
on the skin, it prompts me to place in a certain folder or location I
do this and then hit the start recording phase. After approx 2 hrs, I
go to my avi to 2vcd program to convert avi to mpeg, however on
some occasions it tells me that it is not 8 or 16 bit and will not
change it, or it tells me unrecognized format. I have tried NERO
software, dvd ripper, clone cd- blindwriter, etc.....

I have had this card for over a year and I still cannot record
my vhs tapes to a cd!!!

Can you help me.
