[V2d-discuss] First cut applications chapter complete!

I've just committed my first complete cut of the applications chapter. I
started to proof it and it needs work but it's all there!

I believe Julian is close to finishing the Events chapter.

Peter and Ian we need some work from you both...

Julian has nominated himself for the Containers chapter next and I will
start the Primitives chapter.

I'll let everyone know when I've proofed and corrected the Applications
chapter then everyone can have a go at proofing it also.
