When I installed v2.1.1 the alter table directive to set
UK_MESSAGE on table ut_grid failed with error
ORA_01450: Maximum key length (1578) exceeded. This
is because my DB has a 4k blocksize.

Can this error be ignored?

I wouldn't think it would matter - it's only a unique constraint check. Providing the rest of the script/install ran then you'll probably be OK.
