Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213672 By: bluelive Fixed in cvs, the u2w convert sometimes reported length with and sometimes without #0, now allways without. (but does allways add it to the string.) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213563 By: bluelive Arial unicode ms is a special font that only comes with office, which i don't own. I haven't found anything like chinese in the arial font on vista. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213556 By: bluelive It looks like the best way to support richedit is to make our own RichEdit20 compatible TRichEdit and hack it over the real TRichEdit through same nasty tricks. Anyone wanna build a RichEdit20A using TRichEdit derived class ? only then can we turn it into a W functions. So for now lets do nothing for richedit support. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213552 By: kryvich The Arial Unicode MS on my computer consists Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabian, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese letters, and various special characters. But yes, all they have codes < $FFFF. I never saw a TTF font with character codes > $FFFF. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213436 By: bluelive Ugh, to support a unicode richedit we not only need to convert U2W but we also need to build a richedit10 compatibility layer or replace richedit. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213396 By: bluelive Hmz, i can't seem to find a way to get richedit to use #13#10 as a newline. Alternatively we can patch the TRichEditStrings class, but i doubt thats enough. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213392 By: marquardt For XP and D6 the panel shows an extra char (box) at the end of the Caption string. That happens before and after translation. Caption does not contain that char so the test succeeds. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213389 By: marquardt I mean the character table program aka font viewer (german "Zeichentabelle"). It is able to show all the defined chars from a Unicode font. Go hunting in Arial. That font is available on all Windows versions so any char from it should show up. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213369 By: bluelive Yeah i installed the additional languages when i installed vista, i'm not sure if we should include characters that other people might not have, that could result in alot of false bugreports. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213360 By: bluelive I would prefer to keep the Capital I in there: It makes debgging easier if the first char isn't extended, that way it looks less like garbage when you convert incorrectly. And you can't seem to set a hotlink on non ansi chars. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213297 By: marquardt You cannot send strings at all to other applications through messages. The few strings which are marshalled by Windows (see WM_WININICHANGE) are all ANSI. If we unconditionally convert all strings to Unicode we may run into problems. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4213282 By: bluelive Ah that is a pretty good test, richedit fails on it for me now. But i think i have to keep the first letter an I so that it shows up better during debugging, also the menu works better then. I would also like a far east character in there somewhere, any suggestions ? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
