Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4238405 By: marquardt CodeGear has promised a Unicode VCL later this year. My guess is that it will be an addon to D2007. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4238396 By: marquardt I will ask on Jedi-Steering. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4238391 By: marquardt Best ask that in our newsgroup. It should be fairly easy though. I constantly get the .dcu files generated in the Run directory of the JVCL. I think we should also have some NonUTF8OutputDebugString added to the source. It should help you in debugging. Maybe we should also drop the interception of OutputDebugString. It is not terribly important and only for programmers anyway. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4238230 By: nobody Why there are 2 differents projects to localize a Delphi application? Which are the difference between the two? Why you don't work togheter with gnugettext? After the end of TntComponents I'm suspicious about free projects outside sourceforge... ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4238207 By: nobody I suggest to you to delete that bug because it makes confusion and open a new one with: 1)Subject: "build with runtime packages doesn't work" 2)Steps to reproduce: download utf8vcl-example and check the option "Project -> Options -> Packages -> Build with runtime package". 3)Request to help with some details In all other cases gnugettext works fine with utf8vcl: if I will find a problem about it I will post a new bug only about it. Are you agree? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4237907 By: bluelive There are two problems then: 1. packages don't yet work with utf8vcl 2. i never used gnugettext so i don't know what to look for ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4237901 By: nobody GNU gettext for Delphi (http://dybdahl.dk/dxgettext/) is the best translation toolkit for Delphi, C++ Builder, Kylix, FreePascal and Lazarus. You need gnugettext if you want translate your application in more languages at designtime or runtime. You need also utf8vcl if some of that language has a charset different than your OS ANSI setting. I have tested it with utf8vcl in a large English/Russian application and everything about translations seems works fine. Did you find some problem in project attached to bug 1690443? (the error of the post wasn't gnugettext as I thinked at the beginning but only the option "build with runtime packages") What exactly haven't you undestood? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4237558 By: marquardt I add a NonUtf8OutputDebugString to the message interceptors writing out the message and the parameters. That easily identifies the offending message in the Event Log window of the Delphi debugger. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
