User Reviews

  • the default download file "utelnetd.8.gz" was man page.
  • This thing compiled quickly and well, runs VERY small, seems very fast (though I have never encountered a slow telnetd), and generally makes me very happy. Two issues I have encountered: 1. the TERM gets set to 'dumb', where with other telnetd it get set to something useful (vt420, ASNI, etc). Would love a fix or solution, I am playing with /etc/bashrc to work around it. 2. every prompt, from the first logon prompt and through every single command-line prompt during the session, is presented twice. Again, this does not happen with SSH or any other telnetd I have tried. Would REALLY like a way to fix this! Arguably, these are rather minor issues: but something the admin needs to know and handle.
