Prior snapshot did not work with xfree4.2

This one does :-)
Binaries for solaris x86 already up there. Please submit binaries for your favourite operating system.

as of Feb 9th, the nvidia driver compiles and works with xfree4 (if you cant tell from the downloads section ;-)

Not bug-free yet, but good enough for small OpenGL programs.
