I am using kernel 2.4.19, uml patch 51. I could compile the kernel
with the default configuration and uml runs just fine.
Howevrs, when setting CONFIG_KERNEL_HALF_GIGS to
anything larger than 1, the kernel does not start:
Checking for the skas3 patch in the host...not found
Checking for /proc/mm...not found
Mapping memory: Invalid argument
This is independent from the value I use for the mem parameter
on the command line, i.e "linux", "linux mem=500M",
"linux mem=900M" all behave in the same way.
When reverting CONFIG_KERNEL_HALF_GIGS to 1,
"linux mem=500" works fine.
I hope somebody can help with this.
Thank you in advance,

This is a bug, I'll have a look at it. It would be nice if you could confirm
it on the latest 2.4.20 UML.
