Hi! I've another question: can I use a kernel 2.4 (for um) on a kernel 2.6 (host)? Many thanks, Fabio -- Dott. Fabio Marcone 2T srl Telefono +39 - 0871- 540154 Fax +39 - 0871- 571594 Email fab...@du... Indirizzo Viale B. Croce 573, 66013 Chieti Scalo (CH) |

If you use 2.4.28-bs2 (from my homepage), it works. If you use 2.4.24-1um, it doesn't. The fix was merged in some version between 2.4.24-1um and 2.4.26-3um. In any case,2.4.28-bs2 should be a safe choice. > Many thanks, > Fabio -- Inform me of my mistakes, so I can keep imitating Homer Simpson's "Doh!". Yes, that's my homepage, and I ship patches indeed. I don't ship binary kernels at the moment, sorry. I could start doing that in the future, though. This is the URL for the 2.4.28-bs2 patchset (you can directly browse the archives though): http://www.user-mode-linux.org/~blaisorblade/patches/guest/uml-2.4.28-bs2/ The file you're probably interested in is uml-2.4.28-bs2.patch.bz2. -- Inform me of my mistakes, so I can keep imitating Homer Simpson's "Doh!".
