How do I get syncronous line discipline support in a uml? Its available
from 2.4.31, just doesn't seem to be there in the ARCH=3Dum side.
Any quick way I can add it in?

Very quick: add relevant option in .config.
More clean and robust: copy the added lines from config.in (look at the
vanilla 2.4.31 patch) and patch the UML config.in files.
