I am using a Debian 2.4.23 woody machine.Some time
back I installed UML in my machine (using apt-get
install user-mode-linux) and enjoying the feautures of
UML networking ,cow etc.Yesterday I thought of putting
a firewall(IP tables or IP chains) in between my UML
instances .After some search I came to know that in my
Debian UML kernel (which i installed using apt-get)
IPtables and IPchains both are not abled.Now i have
1. configuring my Debian UML Kernel with IPTables
problem here is I don't how to rebuid the UML kernel
came with debian.I could not find out where it put the
UMl kernel 2.4.23-um in the machine.I was able to
locate the .config and modules only.So this is the
2.The othere option is.I have to download a UML kernel
from the website and rebuild it.I don't find any
straight forward guide for this[If i finish this work
i am planned to write a HOWTO for this :-) ].I found
the tutorial at UML website is not for intermediate
level ppl like me.
Is there any straight forward guide to this job?.or
any one aready to help me.
